Title Clerk Administrations Clerk
Role: Provide administrative support to staff regarding motor vehicle registration and process legal documents and other state-required documents. Title clerk must be organized and detail-oriented in handling files and maintaining documents.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Collect all documents required to complete proper paperwork ensuring the credit union lien is recorded with the appropriate agency in a timely manner. This includes processing state registration documents to ensure no additional fees or penalties are incurred.
- Work with other departments, including title offices in Texas and other states to obtain duplicate titles as needed.
- Ensure tracking records are updated on data system on individual account records and through the eTitle vendor.
- Release paid titles daily and update the account tracking record. This will also include completing a release of lien and filing for lost titles.
- File new titles as received and any other duties assigned which can include taking trips to the TX DMV office or courthouse.
Performance Measurements:
1. To provide timely, accurate, professional and confidential administrative support for all title related items.
2. To meet required deadlines for releasing paid titles, distribution of mail and update reports in a timely manner.
3. Complete all required compliance courses assigned by Credit Union
4. Maintain NPS Score 70 or higher
5. To keep manager informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department, and member escalated issues.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience - At least one year of similar or related title experience.
Education - A high school education or GE
Interpersonal Skills - Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills - Excellent organizational and editing skills; typing skills at or above the 75 percentile in speed and 90th percentile in accuracy; proficient with spreadsheets.
