Facilities Coordinator

HOUSTON, TX

Role: To ensure the Credit Union's building systems and equipment are functioning properly and are maintained in excellent condition.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  •  Maintain the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities and vehicle fleet at credit union branches and the corporate office. Ensure the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential systems including the equipment/tools are well maintained. Clean buildings and grounds as needed to provide an effective working environment and prevent damage and/or limit liability exposure.
  • Will oversee and supervise tasks performed by vendors and contractors including but not limited to monitoring the progress of their work, providing guidance as needed, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Perform a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance and cleaning activities, e.g., carpentry, painting, electrical, sheet-rock, and plumbing.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours and resolve immediate safety concerns and assist in limiting damages.
  • Ensure all landscaping for all properties is always manicured and irrigation systems are properly maintained.
  • Assist in the administration of the access control, security and Verkada systems.
  • Ensure the safety of the building or establishment from fire, flood and other hazards.
  • Maintain files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.
  • Create a schedule of regular evaluation of the facilities.
  •  Coordinate with other offices and branches for facility related responsibilities.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1.     Experience working hands-on with housekeeping, electrical, plumbing, HVAC.

2.     Excellent communication skills, (written and verbal).

3.     Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience - One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education - A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills - Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills - Good communication skills both written and oral.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Must be skilled in handling general repairs, performing routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
